Shipping
When your order is picked up by our carrier for delivery, responsibility for the order becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
Due to legalities of shipping alcoholic products, shipped orders cannot be left at your door. Packages must be signed for by someone of legal drinking age. For that reason, we recommend entering your shipping address as either your place of work (if possible) or to a family or friend that can be readily available to sign for and receive your package if you are unable to. Another option would be to call the carrier and request they hold your order at a local hub for you to pickup.
Our carrier(s) will make their best effort to deliver your package with up to three delivery attempts. If delivery is deemed unsuccessful, the package will be returned to us and a $25 surcharge will be charged to your account to cover costs incurred by us from our carrier.
Customer will then be contacted by our staff to arrange for either re-delivery (paid by the customer) or pickup of your order. If, in this case, the order is made available for pickup, customer will have 7-days to pickup their order. If not picked up within this time frame, or if re-delivery is unsuccessful, or if we have not received a response within 7-days from the date the customer was contacted about arranging re-delivery or pickup, that particular order will be considered abandoned and surrendered by the customer with the total paid amount (order, handling, shipping, return charges, etc…) being non-refundable.

Legal Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from B. Nektar. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age). Alcohol purchased from B. Nektar are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Credit Card Charges
Orders placed on our website are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Minimum Purchase
No minimum purchase is required.
States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of alcohol shipping laws, we are only able to ship products to you, directly, based on the states we choose to work with.
Federal Express Ground and UPS are B. Nektar’s carriers of choice. Ground shipping is provided at current market rates. *Note – If the customer selects Next Day or Second Day Air as their shipping option, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of their wine club membership or purchase amount.
Mead is a Delicate Commodity
Just like wine, mead is a perishable commodity. Mead does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your bottles during shipment. B. Nektar is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your order is picked up by our carrier for delivery, responsibility for the order becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
